Singular Nouns

Masculine Nouns

Feminine Nouns

Exceptions: some nouns that end in “ь” change their stem	дочь мать			до́чери ма́тери	daughter mother
Replace “ия” with “ии”	техноло́гия филосо́фия исто́рия	ия	ии	техноло́гии филосо́фии исто́рии	technology philosophy history

Neuter Nouns

Add “ёв” to one-syllable nouns like:	ча́й кра́й	й	ёв	чаё́в краё́в	tea edge
Add “ьев” to one – syllable nouns like:	бра́т ли́ст	—	ьев	бра́тьев ли́стьев	brother leaf
If a noun ends in “ц” add “ев” (unstressed)	иностра́нец америка́нец норве́жец	—	ев	иностра́нцев америка́нцев норве́жцев	foreigner American Norwegian
If a noun ends in “ц” add “ов” (stressed)	мудре́ц лже́ц продаве́ц	—	ов	мудрецо́в лжецо́в продавцо́в	wise man liar shop assistant
To other masculine nouns add “ов”	студе́нт мо́ст бриллиа́нт	—	ов	студе́нтов мосто́в бриллиа́нтов	student bridge diamond

Feminine nouns

If a noun ends in “а” drop “а” (no ending)	краса́вица газе́та пома́да	а	no ending	краса́виц газе́т пома́д	beautiful woman newspaper lipstick
